Choosing the look with you
The appointment starts with a short conversation about the occasion, what you are wearing and how you usually like to look. Bring a photograph if you have one in mind — it is often quicker than describing a shade in words.
From there the look is built around your features rather than copied from a reference: skin first, then eyes and lips balanced against the neckline, the jewellery and the colour of the dress.
Light, and how the room changes a face
A restaurant lit with warm lamps, a hall under white ceiling lights and an outdoor terrace at dusk each treat the same makeup differently. Warm light softens and can wash out a delicate eye; cool light sharpens contrast and shows every edge.
